MAX Music Morning Show

Weekdays 5:30 – 9am

morning-lineup2 I am a mother of many. My hubby and my children make life fun. I’ve lived in San Diego a long time and I love having my roots here. As a kid I was moved across the country several times. And I love that this is where home is.

My dad thought majoring in broadcasting would help me with my shyness. I was so shy when I was a freshman in high school a really mean girl made me push a penny down a really long hallway with my nose. Then I was off to northern Arizona university…where I began to come out of my shell.

I started my radio career in San Diego. I was lucky. I was a part of a morning show in the 90’s. Then I took a decade-long break. I just never felt I was done with this amazing career. So, I decided to try again. I did just that five years ago at this radio station.

And I’m loving every moment with Sammy Jo. We are just ourselves, having fun. And we love the friendships we’ve made with our listeners!

-Kim

I was born and raised in the good ole cheese state of Wisconsin! I moved to San Diego about 6 years ago after I graduated from college. I have been working in radio pretty much the entire time I have lived here. I managed to form an unbreakable bond with Kim when we would run into each other in the bathroom and lobby. What started as just bathroom buddies, turned into an amazing working partnership and an even better friendship. I have 8 siblings, with the youngest being only 8 years old. Most of my extended family has transplanted themselves to San Diego so I am lucky enough to have a strong family support out here. I couldn’t picture myself living anywhere but here, and feel so lucky to have the job that I do and the listeners that we have, they truly make our mornings!

Weekdays 9am-2pm

jj-onair I’m originally from Massachusetts and got the crazy idea that I wanted to be on the radio at an early age. I graduated from Emerson College in Boston and began my full time career at a small station in New Hampshire. From there, I worked everywhere from Rhode Island to Kentucky. I eventually ended up on the station I grew up listening to, Kiss 108 in Boston. Intrigued by how radio works in another country, I moved to Canada for a couple of years to work for a company in the “Great White North”. I moved to San Diego 4 ½ years ago for another business opportunity but missed being on the radio, so I joined the MAX team in the spring of 2015. When I’m not on the air, I’m taking selfies by the beach with a beverage in my hand and sending them to all my friends back home who are stuck under 3 feet of snow. Just kidding! Maybe.

I’m having a blast playing all the throwbacks and really appreciate you taking the time to listen at work every day.

Sunday 10am-3pm

As a San Diego native I have been surfing the local airwaves for more than 20 years and have seen a lot of changes, being able to share them al with my listeners is a true blessing. For me having fun on the radio is second only to spending time with my lovely wife and three beautiful daughters who make getting up before dawn for the last 20 years worth every minute of lost sleep! I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful groups and charities and look forward every day to spending time with the best people in the best city in the good ol’ USA!
