Happy 80s Christmas!

A Christmas Poem

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the studio,
Not a creature was stirring, not even Sussudio;
The neon leggings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that the Big Man soon would be there;
The Superfreaks were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Kevin Bacon danced in their heads,
And Mama in her Flashdance sweatshirt, and I in my Kangol cap,
Had just settled in for a Hazy Shade of Winter nap-
When out on the Love Shack there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my waterbed to see what was the matter.
When, what to my Naked Eyes should appear,
But a Little Red Corvette, and eight tiny reindeer,

Who Can It Be Now, wearing Sunglasses at Night,
With The Reflex, I knew it must be Santa, right?

“Now! Dasher, now! Safety Dancer, now! Prancer, and Dynasty Vixen,
“On! Halley’s Comet, Karma Chameleon, on! Donder and Blitzkreig Blitzen!”

“To Funkytown! Paradise City! And Into the Groove,
“Now dash away! Dash away! Jump! Shout! And move!”
And I heard him exclaim, as he rode out, heavin’
…Merry Christmas to all, and Don’t Stop Believin’

Love, Cha Cha
