On Air Lineup

Weekdays 5:30am-9am

JJ of 105.7 Max FM I’m originally from Massachusetts and got the crazy idea that I wanted to be on the radio at an early age. I graduated from Emerson College in Boston and began my full time career at a small station in New Hampshire. From there, I worked everywhere from Rhode Island to Kentucky to California. I eventually ended up on the station I grew up listening to, Kiss 108 in Boston. Intrigued by how radio works in another country, I moved to Canada for a couple of years to work for a company in the “Great White North”. I moved to San Diego 5 ½ years ago for another business opportunity but missed being on the radio, so I joined the MAX team in the spring of 2015. When I’m not on the air, I’m taking selfies by the beach with a beverage in my hand and sending them to all my friends back home who are stuck under 3 feet of snow. Just kidding! Maybe.

I’m having a blast playing all the throwbacks and really appreciate you taking the time to listen at work every day.

Frank Anthony

Weekdays 9am-2pm

jj-onair Frank Anthony wasn’t born in San Diego, but has lived here since he was 8 years old. He attended Helix High School and Grossmont College where he received his introduction to broadcasting. His first radio job was at KCBQ in Santee. Then he landed a job at B100FM and became one of the Rich Brothers on the B-Morning Zoo in the 80’s. Almost all of the songs he gets to play during his midday show on MAX-FM, he played back in the 80’s when they were brand new. Remember, he was only 8 years old.

Cha Cha

Weekdays 2pm-7pm

chacha-beach Making TV news and creating a social media buzz, Cha Cha made her public plea for the job high atop a Scissors-Lift 30 feet above Clairemont Mesa Boulevard next to the giant 105.7 MAX FM billboard. Did you see what she did?

Based on this creativity and showmanship and a one day on-air audition Thursday afternoon, where she received a warm welcome home from San Diego listeners, Cha Cha was officially hired by MAX FM and begins her permanent shift immediately.

The native San Diegan and SDSU graduate is no stranger to the San Diego Market as a former Morning and Afternoon talent on XHTZ-FM / Z90 for 12 years and Afternoon Drive Host on KHTS-FM / Channel 93.3 for another 10. Cha Cha has most recently been with CBS Radio as an Anchor, Host and Reporter for KNX1070 Newsradio.

Kevin Dean

Sunday 10am-3pm

As a San Diego native I have been surfing the local airwaves for more than 20 years and have seen a lot of changes, being able to share them al with my listeners is a true blessing. For me having fun on the radio is second only to spending time with my lovely wife and three beautiful daughters who make getting up before dawn for the last 20 years worth every minute of lost sleep! I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful groups and charities and look forward every day to spending time with the best people in the best city in the good ol’ USA!
